3. /sbin/checkrc

4. /sbin/update

5. /sbin/swapon -a

6. /sbin/lsmbstartup

7. /usr/OSFpatch_kit/dupatch

8. select option 2 then patches required e.g. 1-107 129-140

9. recompile kernel - doconfig -c /usr/sys/SERVERNAME

10. copy kernel in to place and reboot

11. check with setld -i
