Displaying and Installing Patches

• instfix -iv - will show all installed fixes (AKA patches)

• instfix -ivk patchid - will sow if the specifed fix is installed

• instfix -k patchid -d source - will install specified fix from source directory given

Displaying and Installinf Additional Software

• lslpp -L - shows all installed software

• smit install_latest - will invoke smit in software install mode. Menus will prompt you for the source (e.g. /dev/cd0) and give you install options.
