>Building the kernel - HP-UX 10.x

  1. cd /stand/build

  2. /usr/lbin/sysadm/system_prep -s system

  3. vi system (perform required changes)

  4. /usr/sbin/mk_kernel -s /stand/build/system

  5. mv /stand/system /stand/system.prev

  6. mv /stand/vmunix /stand/vmunix.prev

  7. mv system ..

  8. mv vmunix_test ../vmunix

  9. reboot

Note: All the available default settings are kept in /usr/conf/master.d, statements put in the system file will select which to use via the config pgm.
